Loving Labors Doula Services

This fun and interactive course is a great way to prepare for your labor and delivery while in the comfort of your own home. My 1 day (5 hr.) intensive class is a unique combination of in person and online work that is worth 10 hours of instruction. The course starts with an empathy exercise for partners and covers the following:

• The Stages and Phases of Labor – An overview of what happens in each stage and phase of labor
  
  
• Hospital Procedures – A walk through of what happens from the moment you check in to the time you take your little one home
  
  
• Home Birth Procedures - Everything you need to know if you're planning on birthing at home or in a birthing center.
  
  
• Pain Management and Comfort Measures - A variety of natural and medicinal methods of providing pain relief, as well as a demonstration of comfort measures that your partner can use to assist you
  
  
• Newborn Care – Practice holding, diapering, feeding, clothing and bathing your baby with a weighted training doll
  
  
• Breastfeeding – All the basics you need to know for a successful start to breastfeeding
  
  
• Postpartum Care – The best methods to aid in mom’s recovery during the 4th trimester
